We discussed Simon Reeve”s excellent video Meet the Stans where he traveled around Tajikistan (Episode 4)

I was intrigued by this whole story today so thought I would read more-
In this article–it turns out Nazarbayev blocked his son’s ex-wife from seeking re-election to Parliament in the Nur Otan Party, which she used to lead, and was named the party’s leader.
